Bulk sender
A bulk sender, in Gmail's rules, is anyone who sends more than 5,000 messages a day to Gmail accounts.
Since February 2024, Gmail has stricter rules for bulk senders. They must set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC, offer one-click unsubscribe on marketing email, and keep their spam complaint rate below 0.3%.
Most founders are far below 5,000 a day. Follow the same rules anyway. Gmail asks every sender to set up SPF or DKIM, and the full set protects your email deliverability. If you send cold email, warm up a second domainsoon for it.
