Cost per click (CPC)
Also called CPC.
Cost per click (CPC) is the average amount you pay an ad platform each time someone clicks your ad.
Divide what you spent by the number of clicks. Spend $50 for 100 clicks and your CPC is $0.50. On Google search ads, CPC depends on the keyword and how many others bid on it. On Meta, it depends on your CPM and how often people click.
A cheap click is only good if it turns into a customer. Look at cost per signup or sale, and at ROAS for a store. Test many ad creatives, because a better click-through rate often lowers CPC. Decide how much to spend on adssoon before you start.
